Agility Films’ “Wired” Wins Best Actress at San Francisco Science Fiction Short Film and TV Awards

We are thrilled to announce that our short film, Wired, has won the Best Actress award at the San Francisco Science Fiction Short Film and TV Awards! Amy Beth Hayes delivered an outstanding performance as Becca, the film’s lead character. Amy’s portrayal of a woman struggling to maintain her humanity in a world dominated by technology, earned her this well-deserved recognition.

Wired is set in a near-future society where digital interfaces are omnipresent, reshaping every aspect of life and human interaction. The film explores the impact of constant connectivity on personal relationships and the pursuit of authenticity in a virtual age. At its heart, Wired challenges viewers to reflect on the fine line between technological advancement and the erosion of genuine human experiences.

Amy Beth Hayes’s portrayal of Becca brings a powerful and emotional depth to the story, capturing the complexities of a character who feels increasingly disconnected in a hyper-connected world. Her performance is nuanced and compelling, drawing viewers into Becca’s journey as she seeks to reclaim her sense of self in a digital landscape that threatens to overwhelm her. This award is a testament to Amy’s talent, dedication, and the hard work she put into embodying this role.
