Agility Films’ Short Film Wired Selected for Aesthetica Short Film Festival 2024

Agility Films is proud to announce that our short film Wired has been officially selected for the 2024 Aesthetica Short Film Festival (ASFF), one of the UK’s most prestigious film festivals. This marks a significant achievement for our team and Fractured Films, as Wired will be featured in the festival’s Official Selection under the Thriller genre.

The Aesthetica Short Film Festival, based in York, is a renowned BAFTA and BIFA-qualifying event that has become a pivotal platform for independent filmmakers worldwide. Established in 2011, ASFF has rapidly grown to become a major cultural event, showcasing cutting-edge work across film, virtual reality, and gaming. The festival celebrates storytelling in all its forms, with a strong focus on bold and innovative narratives.

The 2024 edition of ASFF will take place from 6th to 30th November, with both in-person and digital components. The live screenings and events are scheduled from 6th to 10th November across various historic venues in York, providing a vibrant atmosphere for filmmakers and audiences alike. The digital platform, which remains accessible until the end of the month, allows a global audience to engage with the festival, making it a truly international event.

Selection for ASFF is highly competitive, with the festival curating around 300 films each year from thousands of submissions. Films that are part of the Official Selection are in contention for numerous awards, judged by an esteemed panel of industry professionals. ASFF is known for launching the careers of many filmmakers, with previous alumni going on to receive BAFTA and Oscar nominations.

We are thrilled for the opportunity to showcase Wired at ASFF and are excited to share our work with an audience that appreciates innovative and thrilling narratives. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the ASFF team for this honour and look forward to participating in this exceptional festival.
