The Tandridge Business Awards is an annual event celebrating the achievements of local businesses in the Tandridge District. It serves as an important platform to recognise outstanding business performance, foster community pride, and promote local economic growth. The awards highlight businesses across various sectors, offering a prestigious recognition for both established companies and emerging entrepreneurs in the region.
The Brief
Objective
Agility Films was tasked with capturing the essence of the Tandridge Business Awards 2024 through engaging video content that would enhance the visibility of the event and its participants. The goal was to build excitement leading up to the ceremony, showcase the event in real-time, and create post-event content that could be leveraged for marketing and promotion. This content would be shared across various social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others to engage the local community and extend the reach of the event.The brief was to create a documentary film that explored the deep-rooted culture of horse racing in Barbados, capturing its historical significance and the profound connection the local people have with the sport. The film was to feature insightful interviews with key individuals in the Barbados horse racing community, including Ted Holder, a respected local trainer, and Dean Springer, a well-known race commentator and veterinarian.
Additionally, the documentary aimed to highlight the natural beauty and environment of Barbados, with specific emphasis on the unique and visually stunning aspects of the island’s horse racing culture. One of the standout elements of the film would be the underwater footage showcasing racehorses swimming in the azure waters of the Caribbean, along with aerial drone shots of horses swimming on the beach—creating a cinematic fusion of sport and nature.
The Film
The Tandridge Business Awards 2024 provided a dynamic opportunity to showcase the incredible work of local businesses in a highly visual format. Agility Films began the project by capturing pre-event content, which included interviews with key figures like David Ford, CEO of Tandridge District Council, Catherine Sayer, Council Leader, and Yvonne Moorland, Economy and Project Specialist. These interviews helped generate buzz around the event by sharing behind-the-scenes insights and introducing the finalists to the local community.
On the night of the awards ceremony, we used multiple cameras to capture the action from every angle. Fixed cameras recorded the stage presentations, while roaming cameras captured the emotional reactions of the audience and the heartfelt moments when winners were announced. Real-time content was shared throughout the evening, from guests arriving at the champagne reception to candid moments from the ceremony itself. This live footage was strategically posted on social media to maintain excitement and encourage attendees to share their experiences, thus increasing engagement and extending the event’s reach.
In post-production, we created highlight reels and sizzle videos that featured the best moments of the night, as well as interviews with the winners. These videos not only celebrated the achievements of local businesses but also served as marketing assets for future events. Social media campaigns featuring these clips kept the buzz alive long after the ceremony ended, further promoting the success of the awards and encouraging attendance for future years.
By combining pre-event excitement, real-time coverage, and post-event promotional content, Agility Films was able to maximize the marketing impact of the Tandridge Business Awards 2024, creating lasting content that resonated with both local businesses and the broader community.
