Wired Selected for Esteemed Scandinavian International Film Festival

We’re thrilled to announce that Wired, Agility Films’ latest short film in collaboration with Fractured Films, has been officially selected for the prestigious Scandinavian International Film Festival (SCIFF) in Helsinki, Finland. This is an exciting achievement for the Wired team, as the film continues its remarkable journey through the global festival circuit.

The Scandinavian International Film Festival is known for its commitment to showcasing bold and inventive cinema from around the world. Held annually in the heart of Helsinki, SCIFF draws international filmmakers and cinephiles to celebrate films that challenge norms and push boundaries. With a strong focus on artistic expression, the festival provides a platform for both established filmmakers and rising talents to share their work.

Wired‘s acceptance into SCIFF is another major milestone in an already exciting year for the film. Directed by Will Jewell and produced by Lee Mancini, Wired explores the ethical implications of advancing technology and the impact it has on human relationships. Its powerful narrative and striking visuals have captivated audiences across several prestigious film festivals, including the Flickers Rhode Island International Film Festival and the Aesthetica Short Film Festival.

“We are delighted that this world-renowned festival appreciates the talent behind our short film – Wired,” said Lee Mancini, producer of the film.

Director Will Jewell also shared his excitement, noting a personal connection to Helsinki: “I went to Helsinki years ago when my documentary screened there – it’s a beautiful city with a film-mad population, so I’m so happy Wired got selected for the festival!”

As Wired continues its festival journey, we’re excited to see it connect with new audiences at SCIFF and beyond. Stay tuned for more updates as the film makes its mark on the international stage.
